What an AI hologram is

An AI hologram is a conversational avatar shown at human scale on a HoloBox 911, our 86-inch transparent 4K display in a 7-foot unit. Visitors do not read a screen or press through a menu. They speak, and the avatar answers aloud.

The avatar is built from source material about the person, product or organisation it represents, not from a scripted video. Each conversation is different, because each visitor asks a different question.

What goes into one

  • An avatar: a photorealistic look-alike made from a scan of a real person, or a fully designed custom character.
  • Knowledge: your product catalogue, FAQs, knowledge base, visitor management system, CRM or your preferred language model.
  • Guard rails: answers come only from approved material, and where there is a gap, the avatar says so rather than inventing an answer.
  • Hearing in a busy hall: at MQFC 2.0 a far-field microphone array picked out questions over convention-hall noise.
  • Supporting detail: a 22-inch touch panel can carry documents and figures the avatar refers to.

The same avatar can also run on standard screens, touch kiosks and LED walls, including anamorphic LED. For a screen-based version, see the AI kiosk.

Maruti Suzuki · MQFC 2.0

A bilingual avatar in front of 600 dealers

At Maruti Suzuki's MQFC 2.0 dealer convention, a life-size AI avatar on a HoloBox took unscripted questions from the floor on the main stage, in front of about 600 dealership representatives. Questions were asked and answered in English and Japanese.

It then moved to a separate engagement area, where 120 or more representatives and dealership staff asked their own questions one to one. Answers came only from material Maruti Suzuki had approved.

An avatar that knows the project records

At the Maruti Suzuki Vendor Conference 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, a life-size AI avatar took spoken questions from vendors and answered aloud, lip-synced. It answered only from 750+ project records from the company's knowledge base, with supporting detail on a 22-inch touch panel.

How we build it

From source material to show floor

Source material

You provide the event or business material the avatar should answer from: product information, FAQs or records.

The avatar

We make a look-alike from a scan of a real person or design a custom character, and set the languages it should speak.

Testing

We test the avatar and load it onto the HoloBox, together with any touch-panel content.

On site

We run a positioning check before the doors open. The unit is available to buy, or to rent for an event.

Where it works

Good places for an AI avatar

Exhibition booths

Every visitor gets an answer even when the sales team is busy, and the avatar gives the team an easy opening for a conversation.

Conferences and conventions

Main-stage questions from the floor, then one-to-one questions in an engagement area, as at MQFC 2.0.

Lobbies and experience centers

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI avatar do?

It speaks with visitors in natural language, from material you approve. On a HoloBox 911 it stands at life size and answers aloud, and nobody needs a headset or an app.

How do I create an AI avatar?

Provide source material about the person or product. We build the avatar, either a look-alike from a scan of a real person or a custom character, then test it and load it.

Can the AI avatar speak more than one language?

Yes. At Maruti Suzuki's MQFC 2.0 dealer convention, the avatar took questions and answered in English and Japanese. Avatars can hold a two-way conversation in several languages.

How do you stop the avatar from making up answers?

The avatar answers from material you approve. At MQFC 2.0 its answers came only from material Maruti Suzuki had approved, and where there was a gap it said so. At the Vendor Conference 2026 it answered only from 750+ project records from the company's knowledge base.

Can the avatar look like a real person?

Yes. We make photorealistic look-alike avatars from a scan of a real person, or fully designed custom avatars. At TechHR India 2026, the HoloBox ran two interactive AI avatars.

What is the difference between an AI avatar hologram and an AI kiosk?

An AI kiosk is a contactless kiosk with a virtual sales assistant on a screen. An AI avatar hologram is the life-size version: the avatar stands at human scale inside a HoloBox 911 and talks to visitors, which holds attention on a busy floor or stage.
