What virtual onboarding is

New joiners often struggle to understand company culture, and induction can vary from one plant or trainer to the next. Our onboarding platform gives every new joiner the same induction in a virtual company HQ. They create an avatar, enter a virtual lobby and complete missions about the company, their role, HR policies and compliance.

It runs in a web browser through a secure link, with no heavy installation. Selected modules can also run on VR headsets, for example a VR plant tour at the head office or an experience center.

Who it is for

  • HR teams who onboard people across several plants or offices.
  • L&D teams who need completion data for every new joiner.
  • Companies hiring graduates, through a campus-to-corporate pathway.
  • Manufacturers onboarding shop-floor employees in large numbers.

How it works

The induction journey

  1. Preboarding: the first contact before day one.
  2. Login and avatar: the new joiner logs in, sets up an avatar in the dressing room and enters the virtual lobby.
  3. Know your company and team: company history, leadership, achievements and culture.
  4. Test your knowledge: quizzes and mini-games on what they have learnt.
  5. Know your HR policies: HR and benefits.
  6. Cybersecurity and compliance escape room: cybersecurity, risk and POSH.

Inside the virtual HQ

  • 3D and 360 walkthroughs of your offices, common areas and training zones.
  • Department zones for HR, IT, Finance and others, each with focused content and short assessments.
  • A role and manager zone with role-based training paths.
  • Group sessions where a whole cohort joins the same space as avatars.
  • AI and scripted avatars that answer HR and IT questions by voice, chat or text.
  • Pulse and work-style insights from each new joiner.

Tracking

Each new joiner has a secure login, is mapped to a cohort and sees only the missions for their role. HR and L&D teams use an admin console to view live progress, download reports and send reminders.

  • Quizzes: multiple-choice questions, matching games, randomised question wheels, crosswords and scoreboards.
  • Dashboards, exports and data structured for integration with HRIS or LMS systems.

Commercial model
