What the demo shows
A VR training application for powered industrial truck (PIT) operators. Trainees drive a sit-down forklift through a virtual warehouse that mirrors real operations, and practise difficult manoeuvres with no risk of an accident.
The training modules are designed with OSHA guidelines in mind.
Who it is for
Warehouse, logistics and plant managers who train forklift operators, from beginners to experienced drivers, and want to cut the time spent on real trucks and training yards.
How it works

Headset and forklift controller
The simulation runs on VR headsets such as the HTC VIVE Pro 2. A custom forklift controller copies the electronic controls of a real forklift, so trainees use the same hand movements they will use on the job.
Web portal for trainers
Trainers and administrators use a web portal to manage user accounts, distribute licences and track progress. Trainers, admins and trainees each have their own role and level of access.
The portal logs the results of every session, so trainers can monitor performance and give feedback.
Session replay
After each session, trainees can watch a replay from several camera angles and rotate 360 degrees around key moments. This shows them exactly where they need to improve.

Where it is used
Warehouses, factories and distribution centers that run forklift fleets. Training can happen remotely, with less need for physical training facilities and equipment, and modules can be adjusted to different skill levels or scenarios.
